It has been a while since the Soiree Project has hosted any soirees or done and projects but, after a relaxing summer to re-energize from the many events in Spring, we are back in action.
The YWCA luncheon was a great success. The Soiree crafters donated 70% of their sales from their beautiful jewelry, delicious-smelling candles, and indulgent body products. The handcrafted mirror frames brought in an additional $400 during the auction!
A few weeks after that, the Soiree crafters spent the morning with the mothers and children housed at the YWCA shelter. While the
PLU Men's Project cooked a scrumptious lunch, we helped the children pour candles, mix body scrubs and make cards to give their mothers the following day... Mother's Day!
THEN, a few of us set up shop at Mary Bridges "Strawberries and More" gala, peddling our wares to raise money for children's orthopedic care.
Here, better late than never, are some pictures!
